"When I first started seeing her, I felt lost and alone, and had no idea what to do
...Now I have a job, a license, and plans for the future."
I have been seeing Dr. Sarwar for years now, since around 2019 I believe, and she has been extremely kind, helpful and thoughtful. I have some pretty intense anxiety and depression and her teaching in meditation and hypnosis has been extremely helpful. While with her, I feel safe, and that feeling has extended to almost every part of my life. Not only helpful in office, she and her teachings are helpful outside of it as well. She taught me how to go to my happy place when I need a break, and wonderful hypnosis techniques to wash away the anxiety that clings to me. Her help in envisioning the shape, texture and colors of my feelings helped me better deal with how they stick to me.
While I’ve been seeing her, the world dealt with covid and she was incredibly accommodating with that, which was very, very appreciated because my parents are both chronically ill. I’ve been with her through graduation, a gap year, starting a job and my parents’ divorce, and I don’t think I could have dealt with it as well as I did if not for her.

Her help was essential in me finally listening to what my body was telling me. I struggled a lot with telling when I’m tired or hungry, and I tended to ignore those feelings, but now I’m incredibly good at it and I feel way, way better. Having her to help me set goals— and actually accomplishing them— just made it so, so much easier to figure out what I wanted to do. When I first started seeing her, I felt lost and alone, and had no idea what to do, which was not helped by my family. Now I have a job, a license, and plans for the future, not to mention I have started my medical transition! She is queer friendly. I am so grateful to her. She helped me set healthy boundaries and healthy goals, and got me to stop talking negatively about myself.”
